15th September 2019 -Another OC1/OC2/V1/SKI event completed.
Thanks Redcliffe Outrigger Canoe Club for another great Regatta.

 

We had a great turnout from our club members and another testing the waters in the Novice division.
Started the day with the 8km Short course. We had 8 paddlers in this race.

 

Armand and Tre second across the line 1st in Division. Bevan and Phil 8th over the line but 1st in Division.
Dave come in 11th across the line 2nd in Division. Geoff and Malcolm 12th over the line and 2nd in Division.
Maui was next home, 28th over the line and 5th in Division. Rob was in 46th overall and 2nd in Division.
Enua finished this week 54th and was 3rd in his Division.

 

Juniors up next with Taisha finished 1st in the U12s. Tyler was up next in the U16s, Novice, Para race.

Some really good finishes from our newbies. Bevan and Phil took line honors, followed closely by Tyler in a OC1 3rd across the line and 1st in Division.

Lenore and Pete come home strongly finishing 12th and 1st in Division Jason aka FLIPPER was in right behind the double and placed 2nd in Division, amazing effort mate. Our other first timer Lavarna was awesome, she first 21st across the line but 2nd in Division.

 

Unfortunately our newest member Ariel didn’t get to race but hopefully a minnows crew will want to paddle next race at Bayside.

 

Last event of the day was hotly contested with 8 members from our club. Dave come across the line in 22nd place and was 3rd in the Division
Armand was next 27th across the line and 4th in the Division. Dionne and Peter in next 28th and 2nd in the Division

 

Geoff and Andrew finished in 35th place and 2nd in the Division. Gary was next finishing 57th and 7th in the Division
Russell was 60th and 2nd in the Division. Charlene back from the World Dragon boat Championship on Thailand finished 62 and 1st in the Division
